Life is full of encounters. Some encounters are good, some bad, but with every encounter comes the probability of change. Real life encounters with the real and living God brings about transformation.
Through the work of the Holy Spirit, Jesus brings us into experiential encounters that are life changing. Beginning with the new birth, there is a lifetime of "glory to glory" encounters with Jesus that conform us to His image.
Our goal at Oasis is to foster an atmosphere of receptivity to the presence of God and safety for those seeking a genuine encounters with His presence.
Jesus didn't come to evaluate the world, He came to change it—one heart at a time. Oasis of Grace Church is a place to encounter the real Jesus in all of His love and power.
Througn the Word of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit we are brought into the reality of His kingdom. Whatever we are up against in this world, Jesus comes to meet our needs and set us free from everything that holds us back from our purspose in life. In His kingdom reality, our hearts are mended, our bodies healed and our live filled with destiny.
To really change something, power is reqired. Power has two elements; authority and ability.
Jesus said, "you will recieve power after the Holy Spirit has come on you." The imparted power of the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to be all that we are created to be.
The Spirit also gives us the athority to operate in the same way Jesus did. Just as He had the ability to bind and cast out demons, heal the sick and even raise the dead we now have access to that same miracle working power.
Jesus said, "the same works that I do, you will do and even greater works." Amazing power!
The Bible says that there is a river that flows from the throne of God that is for the healing of the nations. Jesus commissioned The Church to go into all the earth and to make disiples of all nations.
At Oasis, we take that assignment very seriously. Our missionaries are working in Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim. Our people are regularly sent out on short term assignments, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Changing nations means starting at home. We are committed to revival in the USA and our assigned territory of Graham, Texas.
The Bible says that Jesus is, ".. the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." At Oasis our desire is to magnify Jesus in everything we do.
Motivated by love, Jesus came to reconcile God's children to their Father. To restore our inheritance and our place in His kingdom. While on this earth, Jesus "went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil." He still does!
In all things we seek to hear His voice, feel His touch and see His face.
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4&5
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:17&18
